Two $1 Million ‘Millionaire Raffle’ Tickets Sold in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ — The two winning $1 million tickets for the Arizona Lottery Millionaire Raffle were sold at the Circle K at 7424 W. McDowell Road in Phoenix, and the 7-Eleven at 19848 N. 27th Ave., also in Phoenix. The two winning ticket numbers are: 104618 and 298129. The Millionaire Raffle drawing was held tonight; all winning numbers can be found on the Arizona Lottery website at arizonalottery.com and azmillionaireraffle.com.

“After weeks of safe-keeping that Millionaire Raffle ticket, now is the time to check your numbers!” said Art Macias, Arizona Lottery executive director. “We expect hundreds of winners to collect their prizes at our offices starting tomorrow morning, including, potentially, the two $1 million winners. We’ve organized a player appreciation event at our Arizona Lottery offices in Phoenix and Tucson tomorrow to mark this special occasion.”

The Arizona Lottery expects hundreds of winners to claim their prizes starting tomorrow, Jan. 9. The event, which will also celebrate the launch of the Arizona Lottery’s $100 Million Cash Spectacular ticket, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at both Arizona Lottery offices in Phoenix and Tucson. Players and winners can mingle with Arizona Lottery mascot Windfall Willie and the Phoenix Suns Gorilla, listen to music from top radio stations, and have a chance to score autographed Arizona Diamondbacks merchandise. During this time, an Arizona Lottery spokesperson will be available to provide updates on the redemption of the grand prize tickets, the number of tickets claimed, and the number of tickets still to be claimed. Parties will take place at the Arizona Lottery offices located at 4740 E. University Dr., Phoenix, and 4010 E. Grant Road, Tucson.

Millionaire Raffle ticketholders can visit www.arizonalottery.com and www.azmillionaireraffle.com to check their six-digit raffle ticket numbers. All winning numbers will be posted online today. Nearly $4 million in prizes are tied to this game. Top prizes include two $1 million prizes, five $100,000 prizes, 30 $10,000 prizes, 700 $1,000 prizes and 350 $500 prizes. There are nearly 350 more prizes than was offered in the last Millionaire Raffle in April 2008, adding up to $175,000 in additional winnings.

About the Arizona Lottery

“There is no movement at all in her face, no expression. No expert in Botox would leave you like that.”

“Her chin is too masculine and wide. It’s too big of an implant. It looks manly. Her eyes are smaller. It looks like someone used too much filler around them.”

On Dec 19th, 2008 - The perpetrator entered through an unlocked door and ran off with Hilton’s valuables which included necklaces, watches, rings and some family heirlooms.

Security camera footage showed a person dressed in a hoodie and gloves.

Where was Paris when this happened? Partying of course … what else could she be doing?

An LAPD spokeswoman declined to comment this morning on the Times report, citing the ongoing investigation.

Retired New York fabrics distributor, Allan Goldstein, was among the thousands of investors who trusted Wall Street figure Bernard Madoff with their money while counting on SEC to protect the investing public from fraud.

However, today, Goldstein is just 2 months away from being broke. Goldstein testified that “everything I worked for over a 50-year career is gone.” He was among the witnesses as the House Financial Services Committee looked into why the SEC failed to uncover what may be a swindle amounting to $50 billion!

Red flags were raised to the Securities and Exchange Commission over a decade but weren’t pursued, and Republican and Democratic House members said that reflected deep, systemic problems at the market watchdog agency.

You can read more about this article here.

Perhaps the FBI should recruit more agents to catch financial scam artists like Bernard Madoff eh?
